How Does the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program (MPNP) Work?
The Manitoba Provincial Nomination program seeks skilled workers and their families whose intention is to settle and permanently live in the province. The MPNP is driven by employers within the province to address labour needs that cannot be fulfilled by the local population. If you are a skilled worker in any of the fields below or a related field, there will most likely be numerous opportunities for you in Manitoba. Health care aides, cooks, store managers, and many more are just some occupations with vacancies throughout the province.

FAQs
What are the language requirements for an in-demand job?
The language requirements vary depending on the job. However, the absolute minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score one needs to get an in-demand job is 5, and many streams ask for higher than that. This site can help you find what requirements your chosen job has.
How does the MPNP choose what jobs are or aren't in demand?
The MPNP bases its rankings on the needs of the local labour market based on Manitoba Labour Market Information, Occupational Forecasts and consulting directly with prominent employers. Consequently, shifts in those factors and the different needs of the industries in Manitoba affect the list.
Does having an in-demand job affect your chance of getting a visa?
Yes. Application candidates who either have an in-demand job or have been offered an in-demand job are given priority in Expression of Interest draws. The more in-demand your job is, the better your chances.
If your occupation is in-demand (eligible) in Manitoba and you’d love to live and work in Canada through the MPNP, you’re on the right track.
