Summer Programs

Updated: April 13th, 2021

Many parents in Canada like to keep the kids entertained in the summer holidays which usually run for 2 or 3 months and start at the end of June. Summer programs provide the perfect opportunity for kids to make new friends while getting out and about, having fun, and learning new things.

There are many different types of programs, with some focusing on sports including baseball and football, and others offering creative art classes and music programs.

Kids can also expand their minds by going to math, science, and technology camps.

Kids can either spend only their days at these camps from around 8:30 am until 5 pm, or they can sleep over at the camps where meals are all provided and organized activities are supervised throughout the night.

Top summer camps in Canada

Kids of Canada North

Located in Ontario, this 35-hectare estate sits along Big Hardings Lake and provides a quiet and fun place for all kids. You can choose whether you want to keep your child there overnight or you can send them for the day where they are well-supervised.

Some of the top activities include canoeing, kayaking, swimming, paddle boats, hiking, and orienteering while kids love the inflatable water park and the baseball field. This facility also encourages the creative-minded to join in on the fun with video and photography programs, as well as art, culture, and drama lessons.

Camp Manitou

Sporting both Canadian and international visitors, Camp Manitou is one of the biggest and most popular camps in Ontario. Kids can enjoy golfing, hiking, yoga, ice hockey, water-skiing, wakeboarding, and canoeing along the river. The camp is open to children from the age of 6, all the way to 16, and encourages kids to get involved in physical activities as well as cultural and theatrical activities.

Every year, thousands of Canadian children get to enjoy their summer in the beauty of the outdoors, making friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Camps fill up quickly, so we suggest booking in advance.
