Online Courses

The university has online courses available. There are a very select few. In the table below are some of the courses available along with an explanation of what the course is about or what you may learn.

Online Course Course Explanation
Introduction to History & Philosophy of Science An introduction to the key issues in the history and philosophy of science. The major goal is to think critically on the issues of history and philosophy of science.
Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and You Understanding the basic concepts in molecular biology and genetics, particularly on humans.
Bioinformatic Methods Focus is on using extant bioinformatic tools to analyze data and generate biological hypothesis.
Introduction to Computer Programming Programming in a language such as Python. Elementary data types, lists, maps. Program structure: control flow, functions, classes, objects, methods. Algorithms and problem solving. Searching, sorting, and complexity. Unit testing. No prior programming experience is required.
Introductory to Psychology: Part 1 This program is offered as a traditional or online class. A general overview of topics including research techniques in psychology, evolutionary psychology, the biology of behaviour, learning and behaviour, sensation, perception, memory and consciousness.
Introductory to Psychology: Part 2 This program is offered as a traditional or online class. A general overview of topics including language, intelligence, development, motivation and emotion, personality, social psychology, stress, mental disorders and treatments of mental disorders.

University of Toronto Admission Process

Students can apply for a program at the university through the online application.

The admission fee is $180 (CAD)and is non-refundable.

Requirements for Admission

  • Official transcripts of institutes previously attended.
  • Completed application form.
  • Statement of purpose is required.
  • Some programs require submissions of GRE scores.
  • Certain programs may have specific requirements, you should check before submitting your application.
  • If you are applying for a MBS you will need to submit GMAT scores.

International students are required to show proficiency in English by submitting TOEFL or IELTS test scores.

The application deadlines amd closing dates are dependant on which subject you choose. There are programs still accepting for September 2021 (Fall Session).
